Thursday Hope and Shoreline Phish

Hope Unlimited San Diego Medical Cannabis Support Group
Next Hope Unlimited Meeting
Thursday July 23rd at 7pm
6070 Mount Alifan Third Floor in Clairemont

Dear Hope Unlimited,
Greetings to my fellow medical cannabis patients, friends, and family! Hope meeting #64 is Thursday at 7pm. I expect possibly the largest group we have ever had. In order for the meeting to function and be an environment of healing, it is more important than ever we medical cannabis patients remember the support group meeting guidelines. Let us remember that the core purpose of the group is to provide a safe place for medical cannabis patients to share our strength and hope with each other. Let nothing get in the way of our healing! We deserve a friendly place to be ourselves and share openly and honestly
what we are going through. It is ok to be yourself at Hope!

Please bring extra chairs if you have them just in case. Any hope members that have an extra folding table (card table) please let the group know.

A Hope Member's Acoustic Metal Band will playing a few songs of hope and freedom for the support group!

All are welcome at the Hope Support Pot-Luck Dinner
Bring a dish of food to share with the group. If everyone brings something to eat we can have a big feast. If only a few people bring food there is no way we can possibly feed 75 patients! Even a bag of chips or a 2 Liter of soda is an item.I know we have a few chefs in the group!

The Hope Group strives to create an environment of healing and tolerance. Together we can help
each other learn and grow. The last hope meeting really helped me in many ways. I made some new friends. I realized
again that I am not alone, and that there are people who really care about me.
Share your experience and give your personal input, meet other patients, growers, caregivers, friends and family of the San Diego medical cannabis community!

This is a relaxed, "chill" place, to make new friends, learn about San Diego cannabis politics.

Anyone with speakers and a laptop?
The Hope Group could use some chill music to help us socialize and make new friends.

Onsite medicaing is allowed for medical patients. There will be an area where patients may use their medication. Please be responsible with your cannabis use.
Please bring your Dr.'s Recommendation with you for your protection as well as the group.

Although we do practice free speech, and may refer you to a cannabis club, WE ARE NOT A DISPENSARY, OR A DISTRIBUTION CENTER!

Strain identification class. Learn more about what types of
medical cannabis may work for your condition!

In other news, Hope Unlimited will have an information booth at the Shoreline Ampitheater Phish Concert on August 5th and The Gorge on August 7th, 8th!
The Booth will have information about Hope Unlimited and San Diego Medical Cannabis

The Value of Hope Unlimited

San Diego Hope support groups provide the kind of sharing and caring that is crucial for a lifetime of wellness.

Hope groups:

* Give you the opportunity to reach out to others and benefit from the experience of those who have "been there."

* Motivate you to follow your treatment plan.

* Help you understand that your illness does not define who you are.

* Help you rediscover strengths and humor you may have thought you had lost.

* Provide a forum for mutual acceptance, understanding and self-discovery.

Hope Support Group Guidelines

These guidelines are designed for the safety and protection of all participants in the support group.

Share the air: Everyone who wishes to share has an opportunity to do so.

No one person should monopolize group time.

One person speaks at a time: Each person should be allowed to speak

free from interruption and side conversations.

What is said here stays here: This is the essential principle of

confidentiality, and MUST be respected by all.

Differences of opinion are o.k.: We are ALL entitled to our own point of

view.

We are all equal: Accept cultural, linguistic, social and racial differences

and promote their acceptance.

Use "I" language: Because we do not participate in support groups as

credentialed professionals, We DO NOT INSTRUCT or ADVISE. We

however do share from our own personal experiences. We are unique

individuals, and only we know what is best for our own health (along with

our doctor's recommendations). Example: "In my experience, I have

found…"

It's o.k. not to share: People do not have to share if they do not wish to.

It's everyone's responsibility to make the discussion groups a safe

place to share: We respect confidentiality, treat each other with respect

and kindness and show compassion
