SDPD refers Cannabis Dispensary complaints to DA & Narcotics Divsion to Investigate

Hope spoke with a City Council Member community advisor this morning. They informed us that the San Diego Police Department have recieved several complaints concerning the new Medical Cannabis Dispensing Collectives. The complaints have been referred by the SDPD to the San Diego Narcotics Division and the District Attorney's office.
The Hope Group is writing a letter to the DA asking for them to back off of investigations and prosecutions until the San Diego Cannabis Task Force is re-started, and clear guidelines are developed for the distribution of medical cannabis to patients.
This letter will be at the next hope meeting if anyone would like to sign a copy for the group to
send in the mail to the District Attorney's office.
Also of importance is the fact that the Mayor is going to have a major role in deciding when and if a task force is re-started. Right now two of the most important people to lobby in San Diego for patients rights are the DA's office, and the office of the Mayor Jerry Sanders.
Call them and tell them you want the rights the people voted for. Call them and tell them you have the support of several council members, and State Reps Bob Filner and Lori Saldana.
Call them and tell them you think there is a better is way to deal with medical cannabis patients than invesigating and prosecuting. Tell them to regulate not prosecute.
Remember that kindness goes a long way. Nobody likes to get yelled at.
Together we have a voice. Together we can fight for the rights that other communities in California already enjoy. See you Tomorrow Night
